I have a mix of Copic markers, and was tired of their trays taking up so much space on my table, standing upright. I decided to stack them like this, so they not only take up less space on my table, but I can see the colors better. I adhered the trays together with small foam adhesive dots, two per tray, so if I decide I need to change it won't be too much trouble to take it all apart.
I also numbered the Ciao markers using a standard paper punch, white cardstock, and mini zot dots.
Edited to Add:
To set the entire display at a slight angle, I propped the front of the bottom tray up on a 1/2" square length of teflon. The teflon strip is the replaceable strip from my Fiskars 12" rotary paper cutter. It was time to replace it, so I used the old one this way. I adhered the teflon strip to the bottom of the large copic tray using a line of sticky strip.
I'm sure I'm not the first person to do this, but I thought I would share pics in case it's helpful for others.

Looks great! Do you have a source for the empty containers? My dilema is: my markers are all piled up in a drawer and it drives me crazy because I want them all laying down like this; but when their hidden away; out of mind out of sight. TFS
